The director of Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office, Mr. Xia Baolong visited Hong Kong, and was introduced to the State Key Laboratories (SKL) of Advanced Displays and Optoelectronics Technologies during his 6 days trip. We were honored to have the opportunity to showcase our research during the visit.
Lead by Prof. KWOK Hoi-Sing, the Executive Director of State Key Laboratory of Advanced Displays and Optoelectronics Technologies, the Laboratory serves as recognition of HKUST’s research achievements in the field and acts as a key platform to strengthen collaborations and academic exchanges between Mainland and international institutions to boost technological advancement in Hong Kong and nationally.
Mr. Xia encouraged both researchers and students to strive for the best and continuing the innovative basic and applied research tied to national priority and have simultaneously achieved national level of excellence.
The State Key Laboratory of Advanced Displays and Optoelectronics Technologies will continue to seize the opportunities offered by the development of the Guangzhou-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and further strengthen collaboration with universities in Mainland China and worldwide to empower I&T development in Hong Kong and beyond.
