The State Key Laboratory (SKL) of Advanced Displays and Optoelectronics Technologies delegation received Two Silver Awards at the 49th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva
The State Key Laboratory (SKL) of Advanced Displays and Optoelectronics Technologies proudly announces its remarkable success at the 49th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva. The lab’s innovative research and groundbreaking contributions have been recognized with two prestigious silver awards.
The 49th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva is being held from April 17 to 21 in Switzerland with a record number of inventors, universities, institutes, and companies showcasing over 1,000 inventions from about 40 countries and regions. A total of 365 inventions from Hong Kong are participating in the show. SKL team, as of the 36 teams in HKUST, wins two Silver Awards .
The groundbreaking research by SKL members includes the Photo-aligned Multi-domain LCD Using Cost-effective LED Exposure for Mass Production for advanced multi-domain display technology enables wide viewing angles, ensuring consistent image quality and contrast from different angles. This breakthrough revolutionizes the field, as well as winning the Silver Medal.
Another award is given for the project of AI-generated Food with 3D Printing Solution and Simultaneous Infrared Heating for the design of an AI-enhanced approach that combines extrusion-based printing with simultaneous infrared heating, enabling in-line and rapid cooking of complex starch-based food. This simplifies the design process and eliminates the need for extensive computer graphics skills, making 3D food printing more accessible to a broader audience.
The SKL extends its appreciation to the organizers of the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva and looks forward to further collaborations with global innovators in the field.
