Prof. Khaled BEN LETAIEF and Prof. Vincent LAU were recognized as AI 2000 Internet of Things (IoT) Most Influential Scholars Honorable Mention.  Prof. Shaojie SHEN was recognized as AI 2000 Robotics Most Influential Scholars Honorable Mention.

Prof. Khaled BEN LETAIEF has contributed to the advances of wireless technologies, including several major developments in OFDM, MIMO, and cooperative cooperation along with multiuser resource allocation, which are considered as the core technologies for 4G cellular systems and other advanced wireless networks.   In his field, he has over 600 journal and conference papers and given invited keynote talks as well as courses all over the world. 

Prof. Vincent LAU has been working on various research interests, such as stochastic optimization, massive MIMO systems, 5G wireless systems, content-centric wireless networks, IoT for mission critical control systems and machine learning for wireless networks. He has also been the technology advisor and consultant for a number of companies such as ZTE, Huawei, ASTRI and WiMAX .  He is the founder and director of Huawei-HKUST Innovation Lab. Prof. LAU has published over 300 papers, including around 200 IEEE Transaction papers, 100 IEEE conference papers, 15 Bell Labs Technical Memorandum and contributed to 50 US patents on wireless systems.

Prof. Shaojie SHEN is the founding director of the HKUST-DJI Joint Innovation Laboratory (HDJI Lab). His research interests are in the areas of robotics and unmanned aerial vehicles, with focus on state estimation, sensor fusion, localization and mapping, and autonomous navigation in complex environments. Prof. SHEN is currently serving as associate editors for T-RO and AURO.
