Paper by ECE PhD student Mengyuan Hua won the Charitat Award in ISPSD’17

PhD student Mengyuan Hua from Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering (ECE), supervised by Prof. Kevin Chen, has won the Charitat Award (for Best Young Researchers) in the 29th International Symposium on Power Semiconductor Devices & ICs (ISPSD) that was held in Sapporo, Japan May 28–June 1, 2017.
 
ISPSD is the premier conference for technical discussion in all areas of power semiconductor devices, power integrated circuits, hybrid technologies, and applications with an acceptance rate of ~20% for oral presentations.
 
The winning paper was entitled “High-Performance Fully-Recessed Enhancement-mode GaN MIS-FETs with Crystalline Oxide Interlayer”.
